Our Focus

Bazaar Strategies is in the business of finding and capitalizing on new opportunities for its clients. Our specialty is "white space" opportunities - finding overlooked markets or needs where the assets of our clients can be repurposed to create new product or service offerings. Our methods are as applicable to generating start-up concepts as they are to working with troubled manufacturers to find a way out of decline. We have created solution concepts for customer segments worldwide, as unconventional as the world's poorest to buyers of high performance running shoes. We've worked with entrepreneurs, mutlinational corporations, private and public foundations, the federal government, and state and municipal initiatives.

Bazaar Strategies distinguishes itself in the strategic application of Internet and mobile technologies, harnessing the disruptive nature of these technologies to open doors to previously inaccessible opportunities and transform how our clients conduct their business. As a core operating principle, we believe in teaching process, in addition to delivering solution concepts, to ensure that our clients have the capacity to continue innovating after our engagement has concluded.

We draw upon a worldwide network of market specialists and partners in social networking, design engineering, and technical development as each engagement requires.

Scott Stefanski - Founder and President

Founder of Bazaar Strategies LLC, a consultancy firm advising corporations on strategies for economically challenged market segments and regions and advising public institutions on market-based approaches to economic development, with a particular emphasis on the strategic application of technology. Advising entrepreneurs, corporations, and investors alike, Scott brings an extensive background in strategic and organizational planning, market research and analytics, business and financial modeling, sensitivity analyses, due diligence, risk analysis and mitigation strategies, fundraising, and stakeholder development and management.

Scott began as an economist specializing in the adoption of market economic practices in emerging markets and the application of information technology in these environments for commercial and civic development objectives. Later, as lead of a 23 market division covering Europe and Asia for International Technology Consultants (ITC), Scott was responsible for oversight of efforts to analyze and report on market conditions, perform due diligence assessments, and produce market forecasts for a clientele of investment bankers and information technology firms, also recommending company-specific business strategies for markets covered. After ITC, Scott joined Xpedior and later Booz Allen Hamilton to lead strategy and planning engagements for clients in manufacturing, telecommunications, banking, publishing, and government.

Working independently through Bazaar Strategies, Scott combined his experiences in economic development and mobile technology to co-create Ultralight Banking (now Obopay/Nokia Money), a mobile banking concept to serve unbanked consumers and the ecosystem of telecommunications and financial partners. Subsequently, Scott supported other international mobile concerns and has most recently served as advisor to a private family foundation delivering innovative financial service solutions to the world’s poorest. Throughout his consulting career, Scott has created value for clients while gaining a broad spectrum of experiences necessary for finding and evaluating promising business opportunities and bringing them to market.
